Peter A. Gish is a Founder and Co-CEO of Ortus.
Peter is a leading developer of wind power projects globally and has successfully participated in the development of over 2.1 GWs of wind power capacity in six countries over the last two decades.
Prior to founding Ortus, Peter founded or co-founded a number of successful renewable energy businesses, most recently including First Summit Energy and Ukraine Power Resources. Peter was a co-founder of First Wind in 2001 and served on its Board of Directors until 2015 when it was sold to SunEdison. Under Peter’s management, First Wind developed over 1 GW of projects. He is also one of the original co-founders of UPC Renewables which was formed in 2007 and has operating businesses in North Africa and Asia.
Peter is a Director and former Chairman of the Board of Apparent, Inc., a California Solar Energy Company. Peter received a Masters Degree (honors) in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and an AB degree with high honors from Dartmouth College.
